The Q’ero, known as the last direct descendants of the Inca, preserve ancient Andean wisdom through a life of deep communion with the Apus and Pachamama, centered on their philosophy of Circular Life and sacred healing rituals.
Q'ero: Guardians of the Inca Lineage and the Wisdom of the Andes
The indigenous Q’ero community is recognized as one of the last direct lineages of the Inca civilization. Our way of life is a living testament to this heritage, forged in the isolation of the high peaks—a place shrouded in mist and the strong song of the Andean wind, where the drizzle strikes our faces and the cold contracts the body.
Life in Deep Communion:
Away from the city, we walk in profound silence. The only sound is the whisper of nature and our breath in the sacred, endless mountains. Our purpose is fundamental: to return home, to look after our animals, and to pray to the sacred energies: the Apus (mountain spirits) and the Pachamama (Mother Earth), so that they care for our agriculture, the sustenance of our physical body.
While our existence experiences love, sadness, or worry, our whistles and songs become the echo of nature. The rivers accompany our feelings, in an intimate encounter between the human being and the landscape. What appears to be the solitude of the indigenous person is, in reality, a deep connection with the environment.
The Philosophy of Circular Life:
Our central belief is the Circular Life, just as our ancestors conceived it. Every cycle completes its turn, bringing new experiences and renewal, reflected in the rebirth of plants and animals and the cycle of the «milk of Mother Earth» (the abundant water).
This energetic world is perfectly planned: everything has a «why» and a «for what.» As my mother used to say: «This world is the fine and luxurious weave of a poncho, a perfect fabric.»
People are an inspiration of energy, a breath of wind, fleeting like the stars in the firmament; we are a nothing and an everything in time and space.
Rituals: Living Memory and Healing:
For us, rituals are the living memory of our ancestors, the Incas, reflected in the sacred mountains that protect and care for human memory throughout thousands of years. They are not a response to a lack of understanding, but the origin of a search for real meaning in this experimental world. Ceremonies and prayers are the expression of deep gratitude of the soul and the healing of the human mind.

Fue un gran honor compartir esta experiencia con todos. Muchas bendiciones y profunda gratitud a los maestros Q’eros por su sabiduría y guía ancestral.
